Left Fork or Right Fork?
OH!!! Decisions, why do I have to make one? Why can’t someone else make the decision for me?
I would if I could, but I don’t really want to???
I will do it later? Too busy right now?
I can organise that, but I never do!
I don’t finish what I started, I put it off because I really don’t enjoy doing it!!!!
Does the above sound familiar?
It is so easy to do the things we love doing, because, it is enjoyable. You get great energy doing what you love doing and can spend hours on it.
Then there is, I don’t want to change anything – fair enough. This is your comfort zone and you don’t want to go outside of this, even though, you would like to try
Procrastination, postponing, stalling, delaying are a behaviour many of us may have. We want to change it and we try, but, we always go back to our old ways. Why?
Fear, fear of change, fear of not knowing if we can change, fear of what people may say, fear of failing, fear of making a commitment.
Procrastination limits what you can achieve.
- It can affect relationships, (personally and business) because people may not believe what you say, because you don’t always make decisions
- It lowers confidence
- If there is lack of motivation, you are then reluctant to do anything, YOU procrastinate
Have you ever stopped to think about how much stress you put on yourself by procrastinating?
Are you happy with that extra stress?
Are you satisfied that, at the end of the day you still have a long list of things to do, because, you procrastinated?
Are you having restless sleeps because you have not made decisions, and it is keeping you awake?
Is it really worth it???? Is this what you really want?
Want to discuss this further to work towards possible solutions?
Ready to do something about it?
